1. It’s Fun and Rewarding

Just like sitting down to a home-cooked meal, somehow drinking something you’ve made from scratch tastes the best. Fermentation is also fun and your brew will always taste unique based on ingredients used, storage conditions and your climate.

2. It’s Cheaper

Many store bought Kombuchas can cost at least $6 for a small bottle. Once you’ve purchased your SCOBY, you can brew litres at home with materials you probably already have in your cupboard. Don’t forget, your SCOBY keeps growing and multiplying so if looked after, you can brew with it forever!

3. It’s Fresher, more Alive and Free of Preservatives

When you make Kombucha at home, you know exactly what’s going into your brew. You can also make it as sweet as you want and know its not full of preservatives. I also believe because of all of this, it has to be more ‘alive’ and full of probiotic goodness than something that has been stored on a supermarket shelf for weeks

4. Its Flavoured How You Like

You can create as many unique flavours based on your likes and what fruits and spices are in your kitchen or in season. You can also choose to make your Kombucha as sour or as sweet and even as fizzy as you want.

5. It’s a Hit at Parties

Be the host with the most! Home-brewed Kombucha makes a great non-alcoholic drink that your liver will thank you for. Show off your unique and delicious creation and spread the word on how great Kombucha is!
